Hi Lovely People, I have been a little M.I.A from posting in my opinion and I apologize to myself!
Here is a little look I did wearing this little black crop top and high waist denim jeans from Strut Bishop Arts. These photos were actually taken at my friend’s apartment, she has the cutest little boho seat that she purchased from At Home!
These photos remind me of when us women are getting ready for a night out and then we sit and wait for our friends to be ready or begin the contemplation process of whether we want to be out and about or not. I think for the most part we’ve all been there. Or at least I have, some days I just rather chill and stay inside. The night life has been so busy lately with Dallas booming. But I love it, I love my city, and the more people it brings, I know the more opportunities it’ll bring for us. So cheers to that!!
On a more personal note, I have been feeling a need for change. Partly, I believe the fact that my birthday is days ahead is making me more anxious than excited. I keep having to remind myself to again, just chill out. Why am I in a rush? I know the need and ambition to be successful is a great thing but most importantly, I need to realize that living in the now is essential in making a fabulous living. My mom is always sending me e-mails, most of the time their beautiful stories of successful people and how they achieved their goals. Today, she sent me this link and it’s just what I needed to read. She sent an article on inspirational quotes said by the beautiful soul Wayne Dyer, a self-help Author and motivational speaker.
These are a few of my favorite ones:
(I really might as well have copied all the quotes.)
With everything that has happened to you, you can feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.”
“When I chased after money, I never had enough. When I got my life on purpose and focused on giving of myself and everything that arrived into my life, then I was prosperous.”
“Stop acting as if life is a rehearsal. Live this day as if it were your last. The past is over and gone. The future is not guaranteed.”
“Everything you are against weakens you. Everything you are empowers you.”
“How people treat you is their karma. How you react is yours.”
“Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is heavy.”
“The fact that you are willing to say, ‘I do not understand, and it is fine,’ is the greatest understanding you could exhibit.”
And my favorite:
“When you squeeze an orange, orange juice comes out, because that’s what’s inside. When you are squeezed, what comes out is what is inside.”
Hope you enjoyed this post!
